Glenna Lee, was raised in Larchmont, NY and earned her degree in Bachelor of Arts from Haverford College (2002), where she studied anthropology and Jewish Studies. She also studied in Avignon, France, through Bryn MawrCollege and London, England at The University College London. She participated in the DeLeT Fellowship (Day School Leadership through Teaching) and received a Masters in Judaica and Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary (2006).
Glenna taught at the Rashi School, a Jewish day school in the Boston region, Solomon Schechter School of Manhattan, and Congregation Habonim, a Conservative Synagogue in Manhatthan.
Glenna is particularly passionate about community-based learning, where people of mixed ages learn together based on shared interests. With a background in teaching through differentiated learning, she will create a Religious School program at Congregation Sulam Yaakov where each student can enter into Jewish learning from his natural perspective using his personal strengths to learn with greater engagement, ready to be challenged.
