A NEW WAY TO ADULT EDUCATION – Sulam Yaakov Learning Acadamy. – Instuctor Rabbi Alfredo Borodowski

All religions are built around key concepts such as: sacred and profane; ordinary and otherworldly time and space; and this world and the world to come. By understanding how these concepts interact with each other, we uncover the forces that shape reality. Suddenly issues such as why Jerusalem is so important or why Yom Kippur became the central holiday become clear. This course will provide you with the tools to decode any religious ritual or concept.

Rabbi Alfredo Borodowski was raised in Argentina, where he earned his law degree at the University of Buenos Aires and was ordained as rabbi at the Seminario Latinoamericano. He was a Senior Educator at the Melton Center in Jerusalem. He received an MA in Rabbinic Literature and a doctorate in Philosophy from the Jewish Theological Seminary, where he taught for over a decade. Rabbi Borodowski is a graduate of the Adelphi Graduate School of Social Work. He served as Executive Director of the Shalom Hartman Institute for North America.
